Street Closure Notification

The following streets will be closed to car traffic from 1:00p – 7:00p on April 20th in the West End neighborhood:

  • Ralph David Abernathy Blvd (from Langhorn St SW to Murphy Ave SW) all lanes
  • Murphy Ave SW (from Ralph David Abernathy to Lee St Connector) all lanes
  • White St SW (from Peeples St to Lee St SW) all lanes

The following streets will be open to car traffic as usual to ensure access around and through event:

  • North – South Traffic:
  • Langhorne St SW
  • Lawton St
  • Joseph E Lowery Blvd
  • Lee St. SW
  • W Whitehall St

East-West street access will not be affected by streets closed by event.

West Hunter Baptist Church: 11:00am Easter Sunday Service will go on as planned.

  1. Please enter and exit the West Hunter Baptist Church parking lot via Foster Pl., Lawton St SW will be open to North – South car traffic throughout the whole event to access Foster Pl.
  2. From Lawton St SW, Easter service attendees can head North to I-20 (take Lawton St north and make right on Lucille, left on Lowery, access I 20  or South to White St or Donnelly Ave

St. Anthony Padua Catholic Church: 11:00am Easter Sunday Service will go on as planned

  1. Will exit the Church parking lot off Ralph David Abernathy Road, the furthest right lane will be coned off to pedestrians and APD officers will direct traffic to Joseph E Lowery Blvd (10 ft from lot entrance)
  2. From Joseph E Lowery, Easter service attendees can head North to I-20 or South to Oglethorpe, Beecher, or White St

West End Church of Christ: Sunday Services will go on as planned

  1. Access to the Church parking lot off Hopkins St. will not be affected by RDA street closure.
  2. To head South, please use Oak St to Langhorn St.

Shrine of the Black Madonna

  1. Access via Joseph E Lowery Blvd to Oglethorpe to Gordon Place
