10 years, 29 open streets programs, 83 miles, and 1.7 MILLION participants. We are humbled and amazed at what this small pilot on Edgewood Ave grew to be. Thank you for participating, volunteering and supporting this initiative by coming back year after year. In 2020, the 10th anniversary of Atlanta Streets Alive, we’re examining our approach to open streets because we believe in their power to change habits, and change our city, but only if they happen more frequently.

We’ll announce our plans soon for Atlanta Streets Alive: Central on Peachtree Street to happen on a regular basis in the fall. This is a pilot we’re planning with the City of Atlanta to see just what it would take to achieve our original dream of having Atlanta Streets Alive every weekend in our city.

We announced in February our plans to celebrate our 10th Anniversary in May, but due to COVID-19 we will be delaying the celebrations to later this fall and maybe even cooking something up to celebrate virtually in May! You can sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop.
